Blossom

So I have been talking about getting the kids a pony for quite some time now. Every time I would bring it up my Hubby had nothing to say about it. But, I can read between the lines.

He did not want a pony.

He was not going to go look at a pony.

There was not going to be a pony on this farm.

He never actually said that but I am married to him for a reason. I know him. I know him very well. We don't usually have to have a conversation to have a conversation. LOL. I think if your married you get what I mean there...

So a little over a week ago I find a pony. I bring it up in actual physical conversation (haha). Nothing. I bring it up again. Nothing. I lost track of how many times I brought it up. By the end of MY conversation (ha ha), either he was coming with me and the kids to look at this pony or I was leaving him behind. Whether he liked it or not, we were most DEFINITELY getting a pony.

1. I want my kids to have a decent horse - their size - to learn on. And I desperately hope one of my kids falls in love with horses.

2. I never had anything decent in the horse department growing up. Just whatever Dad brought home from the auction mart. Which meant it was not broke. I could pet it, brush it and lead it around. What more could a horse crazy girl want???!! Lol. I will tell you, I rode at least two of those horses that were not broke to ride. I did not have a saddle broke horse till I was 14 years old and I saved up my OWN money to do so. So in saying that, I want my kids to have something that most likely won't kill them. Seriously.

3. The little girl in me never had a pony of her own and now I do! I mean my kids do ;)

Welcome to the family Blossom! Looking forward to the lessons our kids will learn from you. They already have their piggy banks emptied and counted up to buy a saddle!

Ps. I must add, I know pony's generally have a bad name. They dump you off, they bite, they kick and they run home when you don't want them too. My hubby unfortunately experienced some mean ponies back in his day.....but I'm determined to believe that they are not all like that ;)

Easter, my baby girl is 3 months and finally a weiner roast!

She would not quit staring at Grandpa to look at Mommy for the picture.

She is very smiley but I can rarely get a picture on camera of her smiling!
 Just out of the tub!
 Easter egg hunt.
 The end result!
 Dying Easter eggs.
A precious moment with Great Grandma.
 Our kids with Great Grandma!
Our kids dressed up for Easter.
Thanks Auntie Barb for the beautiful dress.
I made a point of getting a picture of me and my kiddos, I'm never in pictures so I'm glad I did this.
 Cousins = Best Buds.
 Whit with Auntie Cheryl.
Taking Whitley's 3 month picture, can't believe how big she's getting.
 Three months old!!!
Finally had a weiner roast the other night, it was terribly windy as per usual lately, but oh so delicious. Smores were also involved !!
I love love love this picture. This is a classic picture of Grandpa with his grandkids! He's started using the wagon lately, there's just too many to all fit on the quad, and they aren't even all in this picture!
 Missing Whitley, Hannah and Brooklyn.
Ali and Abigail, cousins who haven't seen eachother in months! They hit it off right away! So cute!

Have a great day!!!!

My impulse buy

The other night we were watching Dragon's Den. This woman presented a similar thing as the one pictured above, except it was for cookies. So what do I do? Google it, find it on Amazon and buy two for burgers! This one is to make burgers!! Mix up your hamburger...
Press it into the bottom tray...(it fits exactly 2 lbs!)
 Put the lid on...
And voila! You have eight hamburgers ready to throw in the freezer! The lid or top tray cuts the burgers into hexagon shapes, you put it into the freezer and take them out as you need! I bought two because burgers are a big go to around here. 1) There is no shortage of ground beef here and 2) Anything that makes my life simpler and easier, I'm in! How great are these for harvest season or anytime really when you have unexpected guys walk in the door for lunch? Not to mention, it's thin and takes very little room up in your freezer, and also fit in a cooler nicely.

I highly recommend buying these. :)
